New Area, New Companion, New Address

Hey friends and family! I have been transferred! I am now in the Centennial/South Glenn area. We cover two wards, have SEVEN people in our teaching pool, and one of them is on date to be baptized on March 26! It's crazy! Combine that with our awesome apartment: I still have my own bathroom, but now I also feel comfortable sitting on the carpet because it's clean and new, have functioning nonstick pans, and the luxury of going through all the clothes left by other Sister missionaries! So I basically feel like I've been transferred to the land Bountiful! I still love Fruita with my whole heart and miss it, but I am incredibly grateful for the chance to be here in Centennial. My new companion is Sister Emma Friberg! For the first time ever, I feel like I immediately clicked with my companion. She likes science, studying and talking about the gathering of Israel, Choir music, Broadway music, alternative rock, and folk Indie!!! So basically she is a woman after my own heart! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° She likes plants too! Not like I do, but she is open to me getting houseplants, which a few of my past companions were not too excited about. πŸ˜†

Today I repotted a miniature yellow rose the Gardner's (Ward Mission Leader of Fruita 1) gave me for Valentine's (yes, I brought it across the mountains with me) and Sister Friberg's basil plant!!! I also finally broke and bought some paperwhites! I've been wanting them since they first showed up in the grocery stores back in November. So I've been here 4 days and we already have 3 houseplants!🌿🌱🌾 What can I say? I'm weak! πŸ˜‚ Anyway, sending love to you all! You will hear from me again soon. Sincerely, Sister Shill

  1. All sounds wonderful my love but didn't you bring at least one of those little succulents with you from Fruita? How could you leave all your little babies behind? Headed off to the play tonight. Can't wait to see your sister kicking up her heels and sounding Out. I'm sure it will be wonderful. We are back from a week in St George where it was an awful lot warmer than it is here in Dear Old Cache Valley. We got home just in time for a real cold front to hit us. Brrrr. I don't think you said where your new companion is from. Where does she call home? We received your card when we got home today. Thank you so much for your sweet message and thoughts.
